Take My Last Breath was originally founded by Ye Myat Min (Guitars/Screams) and John Simon Aung (Guitars/Vocals). Van Uk Ling who actually is Ye Myat Min's childhood friend, was later invited into the band as a bassist.

After hanging together for awhile, they decided to have another guitarist in the band. This is where Ye Myat Min became the main screamer of the band and this is where Yan Aung Bo was recruited as the guitarist of the band.

In the summer of 2009, the screamer left the band in order to pursue his educational career in Singapore. But, John Simon Aung was able to take over both screams and clean vocals. In mid-2009, they recruited a new screamer, Nay Lin Htet. Sadly for the band, John Simon Aung had to quit the band just in order to pursue his educational career in Thailand.

But during early winter Take My Last Breath has formed by new permanent members and the new permanent members are Kaung Kaung the new guitarist and Aung Thu the new drummer. For now, Take My Last Breath has decided to express their music by metalcore and technoscreamo
